These are one of the traditional British accompaniments to roast turkey.
Makes: 10 portions
Ingredients
20 rashers streaky bacon
20 toothpicks
10 (optional) pork chipolatas
Method
One at a time, place rashers flat on a board and using the flat of a knife, flatten and spread the rashers.
Roll them up and secure with toothpicks
Space out in an oven-proof dish and cook in the oven at 180°C for approximately 15 minutes until browned and cooked.
Drain on a paper towel.
Remove toothpicks before serving as accompaniments to carved turkey meat.
Optional – twist each chipolata in half then cut to create mini sausages. Wrap each in a bacon rasher and cook in the oven for approximately 20 minutes until both the sausages and bacon are coloured and cooked.
